HamTastic San Diego is a SANDRA event created to bring the San Diego amateur radio community together for a fun, relaxed day of radio, friendship, learning, and camaraderie.
Hosted by SANDRA β the San Diego Repeater Association, HamTastic is open to all amateur radio operators, radio clubs, organizations, families, and anyone interested in amateur radio. You do not have to be a SANDRA member to attend or participate.
Bring your radio equipment and make contacts! Set up your station, show off your setup, and make new contacts on the air with hams from across Southern California.
Set up a tent or table for your club. Bring your club banners and information, invite your members, and spend the day connecting with other operators and clubs.
Meet and network with other hams and clubs. Exchange ideas, demonstrate your equipment, and enjoy being part of the amateur radio community.
Attend presentations and hear from guest speakers. Volunteer to speak, teach, or demonstrate something you've been working on.
Bring your BBQ, relax with your friends, and spend the day talking radio! Share food and stories with fellow hams. Extra food to share is always welcome!
Enjoy a day outdoors at Fiesta Island. Make new friends and reconnect with old ones. Help someone make their first radio contact!

One of the things that makes HamTastic special is the opportunity to learn from other members of the amateur radio community.
We are always looking for speakers, educators, presenters, exhibitors, and subject-matter experts who have something interesting or useful to share. Have a project you've been working on? Know something other hams would benefit from learning? We'd love to hear from you!
HamTastic is a non-profit community event, and our speakers and presenters volunteer their time because they believe in helping grow, educate, and strengthen the amateur radio community.

Amateur radio is a hobby for everyone, and HamTastic welcomes all ages.
We especially encourage youth organizations, schools, Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups, and other youth organizations to attend and discover what amateur radio is all about.
This can be a great opportunity for young people to meet experienced amateur radio operators, see the equipment in action, learn how radio communications work, and perhaps even make their first amateur radio contacts with some of the friendly hams who will be setting up their stations.
Bring the whole family for a day of discovery and fun
Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and youth groups welcome
Just got your license? Come learn from experienced operators
